1. Mental Health Counselor Internship

This internship is designed for graduate-level students seeking supervised clinical experience in a remote, real-world therapeutic setting.

Important: This position is open only to candidates currently residing in Colorado. Applications from non-Colorado residents will not be reviewed.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under licensed supervision
  • Perform intake interviews and clinical assessments
  • Assist in treatment planning and implementation
  • Coordinate with schools, medical providers, and social workers
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Assist in crisis intervention and risk assessment

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program (Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work)
  • Preferably from a CACREP-accredited institution
  • Coursework in counseling theory, human development, and ethics
  • May require a background check depending on the program

Key Skills

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients
  • Familiarity with CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based approaches
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Openness to supervision and feedback

Location Requirement

Although this is a remote position, applicants must currently reside in Colorado to meet licensing and supervision requirements.

Compensation

This internship is unpaid and intended for academic credit. It is designed to support professional growth toward becoming an independent contractor in private practice after licensure.

2. Independent Contractor (Mental Health Counselor)

Overview

Opportunity for Master’s-level graduates to provide supervised clinical services in a remote therapeutic setting.
